Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 & Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 2015
The Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 makes it illegal for any person to treat an animal unless they are a veterinary surgeon or legally exempted. The treatment provided by Lorna Brown under Section 2 of the Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 2015 requires the prior consent of the animal's veterinary surgeon. Therefore Lorna always verifies that veterinary permission has been sought before treatment commences.
Chiropractors Act 1994
In compliance with Section 32 of the Chiropractors Act 1994, Lorna Brown does not refer to herself as Chiropractor. Chiropractor is a protected title for people that are qualified to treat humans. One of the techniques that Lorna uses is McTimoney Animal Chiropractic.
Lorna is a graduate of McTimoney College of Chiropractic (University of Wales) and is fully qualified and insured to practice McTimoney Chiropractic techniques on animals.
